Hello o far

Hey guys sorry for not updating everyday on my US Trip cuz of internet issues,So far my US trip is good,I got a lot of inspiration along the way,I currently consumed in lust on Rembrandabt especially his painting on gold and absolute jealous on Rembrandabt and Manet's costume collection,Of course I did some sketching here and there.I also try some food and learn new things when I get back to Singapore,I use it

In Joe Murray's book Creating Animated Cartoons with Character: A Guide to Developing and Producing Your Own Series for TV, the Web, and Short Film Chapter 11 Making A difference :How to work in TV without losing your soul,he emphasis on helping other who are not fortunate as you,That's what happen to me,I was helping my church youth group in some outreach programs and at the same thing got some ideas,It's seriously important to get out from yr computer and help the people around you.And it also shows that u have life beyond animation or whatever art filed you are.


BTW this book is really good for those who wanna to go to animation,Joe Murray's advice is really helpful and give a reality-check on the animation business :D

My new banner woot

In the beginning of my looking glass project,I want to personalized my blog especially the banner,Soon after my project I start doing my banner,I use what I do for my project expect I take full control of it,I ask my amazing talented graphics twin sister to jazz my background and it look great :D

Rockabilly Christmas Post

Here is my entry for fashion illustrators Monthly theme challenge which is became a must to do ever since I join their group(I decided for the sake of myself,I do the monthly theme that catch my eye),This December theme is Rockabilly which is an awesome theme and one of my favorite styles.
I did the Corel Painter version which ended up looking horrible ;_;(Cuz of the sizing issues) and also understand why digital painters use both Photoshop and Painter because of this
I decided to redo it again with better coloring and a little TLC on my rockabilly cookies for this holiday season

Advice I got

I receive an amazing talk from not an animator but a fashion designer/fine artist on 6 Octobor 2011 which I also got a briefing on my volunteering =D

Here are some advice from him to any artist besides fashion designers
Sketching is important
Sketchbook is a key to put your ideas on,Without it your ideas are lost forever(that's what he said),It's also important for your work
Pick up ideas from everywhere you see
Remember to write/draw your idea out (Also you take a picture or video camera it)
Apologises for my animation counterparts on this part here
Raise above criticisms on your work and it's not about you all the time
Go Back To Basics On Your Work
Make it personal
Develop your taste and follow your interest

Ok This post is decimated to the cutest things on earth,It star with my confinement at home by my dad who is out of town,Luckily Animal Planet help me in theses sketches and give me the fuzzies at the same time

If you can't to go to the zoo,Use Nature Shows like Animal Planet to draw some animals,There is a variety to choose
Other tips on Art on The Budget for me and any artist on a budget

• Get your school oil pastels instead of the normal pastels
• Get the card from your local art shop bonus if you got a pass
• Use the library for your books instead of buying
• Internet is your best bet,Tumblr is the best material for everything u want ;)
• Buy cheaper materials that have quality to it
• Buy Lifetime materials like sketchbooks
