Hello o far

Hey guys sorry for not updating everyday on my US Trip cuz of internet issues,So far my US trip is good,I got a lot of inspiration along the way,I currently consumed in lust on Rembrandabt especially his painting on gold and absolute jealous on Rembrandabt and Manet's costume collection,Of course I did some sketching here and there.I also try some food and learn new things when I get back to Singapore,I use it

In Joe Murray's book Creating Animated Cartoons with Character: A Guide to Developing and Producing Your Own Series for TV, the Web, and Short Film Chapter 11 Making A difference :How to work in TV without losing your soul,he emphasis on helping other who are not fortunate as you,That's what happen to me,I was helping my church youth group in some outreach programs and at the same thing got some ideas,It's seriously important to get out from yr computer and help the people around you.And it also shows that u have life beyond animation or whatever art filed you are.


BTW this book is really good for those who wanna to go to animation,Joe Murray's advice is really helpful and give a reality-check on the animation business :D

My new banner woot

In the beginning of my looking glass project,I want to personalized my blog especially the banner,Soon after my project I start doing my banner,I use what I do for my project expect I take full control of it,I ask my amazing talented graphics twin sister to jazz my background and it look great :D

Rockabilly Christmas Post

Here is my entry for fashion illustrators Monthly theme challenge which is became a must to do ever since I join their group(I decided for the sake of myself,I do the monthly theme that catch my eye),This December theme is Rockabilly which is an awesome theme and one of my favorite styles.
I did the Corel Painter version which ended up looking horrible ;_;(Cuz of the sizing issues) and also understand why digital painters use both Photoshop and Painter because of this
I decided to redo it again with better coloring and a little TLC on my rockabilly cookies for this holiday season

Advice I got

I receive an amazing talk from not an animator but a fashion designer/fine artist on 6 Octobor 2011 which I also got a briefing on my volunteering =D

Here are some advice from him to any artist besides fashion designers
Sketching is important
Sketchbook is a key to put your ideas on,Without it your ideas are lost forever(that's what he said),It's also important for your work
Pick up ideas from everywhere you see
Remember to write/draw your idea out (Also you take a picture or video camera it)
Apologises for my animation counterparts on this part here
Raise above criticisms on your work and it's not about you all the time
Go Back To Basics On Your Work
Make it personal
Develop your taste and follow your interest

Puppies and Kittens for my day

Ok This post is decimated to the cutest things on earth,It star with my confinement at home by my dad who is out of town,Luckily Animal Planet help me in theses sketches and give me the fuzzies at the same time

If you can't to go to the zoo,Use Nature Shows like Animal Planet to draw some animals,There is a variety to choose
Other tips on Art on The Budget for me and any artist on a budget

• Get your school oil pastels instead of the normal pastels
• Get the card from your local art shop bonus if you got a pass
• Use the library for your books instead of buying
• Internet is your best bet,Tumblr is the best material for everything u want ;)
• Buy cheaper materials that have quality to it
• Buy Lifetime materials like sketchbooks

A Little Rear Window In My Day

My Sis and I watch Hitchcook's To Catch A Thief ,It's an amazing movie with amazing outfits to die for,I still don't get it why Alfred Hitchcook make his ladies elegant especially flims with Grace Kelly,Here are the outfits are the favourite from the flick

The one at the top is Grace Kelly's lovely white dress on the firework party,Danielle's swinsuit and Her blue dress to meet John Robbie
The second one is John Robbies's first outfit ;)

Fashion Illsuration

In 2009 I picked Fashion Illustration and it became an addictive hobby,It just putting clothing in an illustration and I normally take part in Fashion illustrators Monthly Theme Challenge,with school i did not take part of it till November

I try pastel today,It's a pain to colour wonder if drawing is harder,I colour like a 5 year old XD,Just need more practice ;)

Canvas Piece

I want to share my "Through The Looking Glass" project,It's an inserting thing that my school assignment ended up being the most fun among all the art stuff I did,I first create a mind map on the topic suddenly it went pretty instant since I have 2 internet usernames on deviant and Tumblr reperesctive ;),I want to do all mind maps and stuff,There are some days I ended running out of my acrylic paints cuz of this work,The mock-up is a bit ugly thankfully I changed it for the better and Rashid really like it,he want me to do the impasto thing for my final(Unfortunately it did not work as well) but I get the effect I want.One of my deviantart friends really like it,I got an overload of references to the point it clogged my iPhone and itouch XD (Which is good also),Future artists,it's a must to get references as my assignment says don't draw from imagination on a certain object (That's what I remember),With iPhone and itouch it's no excuse on saving images and gd references

I'm thinking blue and format

I just messed with my Corel Painter 12 today to make a 'Blue" painting today
On a Wednesday which is my assessment  day,I went to my old school to do some old fashion life drawing and some 2 point perspective(which is not my day although I know what to do)
Just today I went with my awesome twin sisters to the Dreams and Reality Exhibition at National Museum in Singapore to do some sketching and a few cam picture taking
Will show pictures soon :D

Here's the format of what my sketch blog be and also set apart from other sketch blogs

1. Since I use Tumblr for all inspiration,may as well I use my 663 likes I collected to create a image :)
2. I love period costumes so I will draw something from a movie I watch and favorite costumes.Sometimes I get request from my twin sister who is studying films (Of course we share everything even instantgram XD )
3. More peroid costumes madness and photography(I love to photograph my world so I'll share it with you)
4. Give me myself from the blog(Obviously)
